No- you have to live at close proximity with a cat- in other words like snuggle with the cats, or sit where they sat etc… to get worms from them- I have a guinea pig that i took to the vet 2 weeks ago because he had a cold and the vet told me that even guinea pigs can give a human worms but you have to live with them and have contact with them- so no you can not get worms from a cat that is just visiting in your garden
