Pest Control : How Do You Get Rid of Hobo Spiders?

Hobo spiders are also called aggressive house spiders, and the best way to get rid of them is to eliminate their food source. Use a large amount of pesticide dust to treat an area where hobo spiders live with help from a pest control technician in this free video on bugs and pest extermination.

@wowhorde12 clean your room
Thanks for the vid. We have a lot of funnel spiders in our neighborhood, and battle them constantly, indoors we have them down to a dull uproar, outdoors in the eves of the house they are everywhere.
that would be cool if hobo’s were poisonous that would be awesome
:40 and they run out and bite em.
>.
Just replace the word spider with Hobo and we’ll have ourselves a hilarious misunderstanding.
1.pinch your nose
2.pick your nose
3.yell for 15 seconds

i just saw a small one crawing outside in mah garage, and it made me jump. i had to throw a shoe at it to kill it. those, along wiht most otehr spiders, freak me out. i agree with dakazer. if i had one wish, (for anything i want) i would wish for every bug that has a stinger, spines or teeth to be DEAD X_X and ya that was informitive ehowgarden.
@darkazer451 Im with you on that
i wish i could kill every spider in the world …
Spiders are NOT welcome visitors.
I hope Mr Smart-Guy in the video ends up like those horror movies..eaten by a godzilla-sized pest.
I have arachnophobia so bad I can’t even look at a spider.
I wish I could get over it but, no matter how many times I try to desensitize my self by looking, the fear and revulsion never decreases.
I have lived in my house here in SE Alaska for 5 years and this last April suddenly we were catching 4-5 hobo spiders a day when prior we never have seen them in our home. After a few weeks of this we had our home bombed and sprayed outside. We continued to kill a few here and there for a few months but nothing like the first few weeks. We haven’t seen any since Aug. but I’m afraid when April hits again in 2010 they will start venturing in the house again.
That may be true, but they are VERY aggressive. I know this from experience. Several years ago my house was infested with hobo spiders. And on several accounts one would actually try to attack me from across the room. That is it would come running at me bearing it’s fangs etc.
ok 5 months have part, see ur still alive,so stop sending these things cuz theyre fake.
Question: if pesticide is used to kill spiders won’t it also kill non-dangerous spiders? If it does that won’t it create a void of preditors causing a growth in food that since the hobo tends to be more moble than other spiders it will move in to exploit? I’ve been made to understand general spider traps exaserbate hobo spider vulnerability.
They’re not called “aggressive house spiders” because they are aggressive, but because some nimrod didn’t know Latin and translated “agrestis” of Tenegaria agrestis as “aggressive”–rather than “field” as is its meaning.
