I Encountered A Huge Bug In My Basement Tonight Called A Water Scavenger Beetle….i’m Scared There Is More?..?

This bug was huge, and hideous. It took a great bit of effort just to kill it. I think it climbed up out of my drain in the basement, but I’m not sure. I wish I knew for sure where he came from.. It was all alone when I found it, and I’ve never seen a bug like this in the 8 years that I lived here. I was wondering if I should be worried that more of these evil bugs may be lurking around me?….This thing was nasty, and I’m certain they must bite.
omg I love beetles why did you kill it …u could sell it to a collector like me….I am pretty sure most beetles are harmless though….could you estimate its size?
watch out, it might have a family nearby
