I Don’t Want To Use Poisions To Treat Bugs In My Fruit Trees. Any Sugestions?

I have peach & plum trees and worms and birds are enjoying the fruit before I do, what can I use instead of hazardous chemicals.

Poisons??? Come on Linda, we have come a little further than that in controlling worms. There a many kinds of insecticides that you can safely use on your trees. Check with your State department of agriculture or your county extension service for the best kind for your location. I’d use either Tempo, cypermethrin, or BT.

Insecticidal soap seems to be the best for insects. It also has a residual effect. For the birds there are nets to cover the tree to keep the birds from getting to the fruit.

Sometimes there are ants around fruit trees. Put some of those little ant bait traps around.
