How to kill a huge spider? Raid?

So im at my mother-in-laws in florida and I swear they have like.. radio-active bugs down here. This spider is HUGE.. Like the size of my hand.
And.. im scared to death of the things..
So Im wondering how to kill it.. It is int he garage (which is connected to the house by a little feeble door) inbetween the fridge and the wall..
Would spraying a whole can of raid kill it?
Or.. any ideas? Someone once told me that raid wouldnt kill spiders since they dont lick themselves so the chemicals wont work..
take a broom and smash it you can use raid but it won’t die immediately
just step on it or buy that spray that kills spiders
haha im sure raid will work b/c i was in Arizona 1 time and there was a scorpion and a lizard and i sprayed raid on them and they died (the lizard was an accident lol)
southern house spiders and huntsman can get rather large,
and are intimidating.but they are harmless.
poisoning your house would be worse than any spider you will
have there.if it is not disturbed, it will stay in the garage.
if you just can’t tolerate its presence,a vacuum cleaner works,
and sticky traps do well also.
