Who Covers Pest Control When Renting?

By paco

I am renting a condo in a Lennar community. The condo is 1 of 12 in a two-story building (I’m on the 2nd floor).
So, the past 1-2 months I have randomly had pesky bugs in my house – not the typical ant or two but BEES. I have had a total of 7 in the house – 5 were flying around alive, 2 were on the ground already dead when I found them. I have checked the window & door seals and there is no problem there so I’m thinking they are coming from the vents. I don’t really want to even try to fix the problem myself because its bees.
I checked the lease and couldn’t find anywhere in it that said anything about that sort of thing. So if I was to get some kind of pest-control person to come fix this problem who would cover it? Myself, the owner of the condo, or the community (as maybe this is a general building issue)?

That is usually a landlord responsibility. You should tell your landlord and also ask the other tenants of the building if they have this problem, because then it would probably be up to the building owner or management company.
