Washington, Mon, 09 Jan 2012 ANIWashington, Jan 9 (ANI): Elin Nordegren, ex wife of golfer Tiger Woods, demolished her 12-million-dollar oceanfront mansion last week, because her builder said that it made more economical sense than working on the existing structure.
The 17,000 ft., six-bedroom home in a gated community in North Palm Beach, Florida that she brought last year was built in the 1920s, and wasn’t suited to present day regulations. “It wasn’t built to the South Florida wind-loading codes of today that were put in place because of hurricanes,” People magazine quoted Dan Reedy of Onshore Construction and Development as saying “We had an architect and a structural engineer out here and everyone agreed that it made more sense – structurally and economically – to tear it down and start over,” he said.
Nordegren gave Habitat for Humanity four weeks to methodically go through the structure and salvage tens of thousands of dollars worth of cabinets, hardware and fixtures, discovering termite and carpenter-ant infestations in the process. “When we pulled out the windows, the bugs were everywhere,” Bobbi Blodgett, Habitat’s director of deconstruction, was quoted as saying. “To rebuild that house would have been ridiculous. We’re so grateful to Elin. It’s rare we get this kind of donation,” Blodgett said.
“Elin could have had a garage sale and made a lot of money. But she wanted everything to go to charity,” Reedy was quoted as saying. (ANI)
i found it sickening that ppl actually hated this person because of her hair color..they called her very nasty names..and now??

I like that if you are in a bind, most men can take control. Such as a flat tire, a mouse in the house, if you’re lost, etc. I appreciate that ability.

My brother put this Red Cross Anitivirus on my computer and every senes he did that Internet Explorer and Mozilla Fox Fire will not open on my computer. When I click on the icon to open a web page, a box will appear on the screen that says this ” The application Internet Explorer was launched succesfully but it was force to shut down due to sercurity reasons.” I’m not sure how to get the Red Cross Anitivirus off my PC, been through the control panel penty of times looking for the program so I can uninstall it but I can’t find it any where on my PC, and everytime I boot my PC up the Red Cross Anitivirus haves to scran throw the files on my PC before I can finally get to the start screen. Right now I just use the internet throw Real Player SP which sucks of coures so if you could help me please do…

I have a bug problem in my apartment and my landlord wont do anything about it?

I moved into my apartment in august and the day I moved in I seen a bug and my neighbor said it was some kind of water bug and will go away in the winter. Winter came and the bug problem got worse. It turns out the bug was a “bed bug” and it has now infested my bed and both my couches in the living room. I contacted my landlord and he explained to me that the bug problem was not his problem and there is nothing he could do about it. I have never had such a problem with any place I have lived at in the past. I am covered in bug bites from head to toe and my 10 month old son has them on his feet, legs and hands. I have to vaccume the crib and the couch I sleep on ( less infested ) but I still wake up covred with bugs. I guess what im trying to ask is does my landlord have to do somthing about this, I live in michigan if that helps, and if my landlord dosnt have to do anything about it.. what can I do?

Bug bomb the crap out of the place. Hold rent until he does something about it. That may take to long so what I would do is go to home depot and buy some bug bombs and bomb the place. If the building is infested get your neihbors to do the same and it may get better or you can call an exterminator and then hold the amout they charge you from your rent and send the receipt with your short rent check.
