It’s 1 in the morning. The bat was fucking huge had like a foot and a half wing span. I know some people don’t care and I’m normally not superstitious but this kind of freaked the hell out of me.

…away from the house?
Here in NW Florida, we have huge bugs that all want to come into the house…YUK…
We’ve been having an exterminator come every 3 months…and they spray poison around the peremeter of each room, as well as around the outside of the foundation.

It concers me that the cats can walk in the dried poison spray…and then groom themselves. The exterminator swears that the spray is harmless to people and pets…but, I wonder..

I’d love to go ‘chemical free’ and still not be invaded by these ugly ‘Palmetto bugs’ (a pretty name for huge roaches)…and the Riddex commercial looks like it COULD be a solution….has anyone had any results, either good or bad, using this product?

Question by Sarah J: Can anyone recommend the best option for controlling cat litter box smell?
I have a 6 month old kitten. I just moved into a tiny apartment with roommates, and since the one is “allergic”, I have to have the litter in my room. At first, I just attacked the litter with baking soda everyday. Then I bought one of those ones with a hood and door. It works okay, but I have found that it is so hard to clean because the pee doesn’t dry and it just mats together and I can’t scoop it. The smell is still bad too.

The motorized ones seem expensive and I have heard they break/don’t work.

Does anyone have any recommendations? I need help. I love my cat but am contemplating taking him to my parents until I get my own place next fall. Because the one with the hood is harder to clean, I left it for a few days and my cat peed on my white futon. I am not amused. Please help!!
Kelley, the Carefresh Cedar Cat Little sounds great but where do you find it? I’m in Manhattan so we don’t really have a huge PetSmart or Super Pets or anything..

I get it at thr grocery store or at Target! Target has the better deal it is 12.99 for a 20 pound box! At the grocery store I pay 7.99 for a 10 pound box. Believe me if you try it you will love it!
