Question by : Tiny bug bites, apparently from tiny red bugs?
So ever since I went to a wedding reception last weekend I’ve been EXTREMELY itchy and have teeny, tiny bumps on my skin. At first i thought maybe it was an allergic reaction that I didn’t notice till I got home but I noticed a tiny, tiny, little blood red bug on me, AND I DIDN’T EVEN NOTICE IT BITING, I’ve seen one of those twice in my room and I’m wondering what it could be and how I could get rid of it. At first I thought, “OH NO BED BUGS”, because i noticed some bites where in rows, but these aren’t flat like bed bugs, there VERY TINY and blood red, with bums that obviously hold MY blood, and as soon as you see them the bounce off, also the bumps are tiny, and I’ve heard bed bugs leave large red lumps…. Some more info is that we have cats that regularly go in and out of the house, so they may have carried something and that I live in California, but the weathers been off (rainy, sunny next day etc) so maybe they’re appearing because of that? ANYWAYS, the question is what are they and how do I get rid of them?

Everyone but me has bug bites?

Posted by: | Comments (2)

Question by Wolf D: Everyone but me has bug bites?
My sister started to get some decent bug bites. We researched the bug and its the common “bed bug”. Then it began to attack my parents as well. I’ve inspected myself thoroughly. I have not a single bug bite at all. We have exterminated them but I still want to know why they never went for me

Cause ur so sweet?? Seriously though, some people seem to secrete something in their skin that keeps bugs away.I know people who NEVER get mosquito bites even in swarms. (they go for me first!)

Question by leseulun: mosquito/flea bites but no bugs around???
I did go hiking in some thick woods the other day, I had a couple of ticks I had to remove but this is NOT lyme or rocky mt for sure. About 24 to 48 hours later (Maybe unrelated) I noticed I had some bug bites. Just 4 or 5 bites but now another dozen or so bites have shown up in the last 24 hours or so. I have triple checked my room/bed I dont appear to have bed bugs and besides this happens during the day where as I have not seen any pests on me. The bites itch about like a mosquito or flea bite, maybe look a little more like a fireant bite. I dont notice when the “bite” happens, only later I notice I have an itchy bite. By tomorrow I am afraid I will have 2 or 3 dozen “bites”. I am taking some antibiotics just in case and I have put military grade zinc ointment on some of the bites but it doesnt seem to do much. Could this be some kind of Skin mite? It seems like I can feel something crawling on me at times but I look and there is nothing, may just be in my head. Anyone??
Also note that no bites have shown up between my fingers, I do not think they are chiggars because I have so many new bites showing up. I dont have insurance at the moment so I am trying to exhaust all my resources before seeing the doctor. I have been researching the web for hours now and really havent found anything yet. I live in west central Florida, dont know if that matters. I have to believe the sooner this is identified and treated the less problematic it will be. Anyone have any ideas?
oh yeah, I have a dog I have had for 13 years, he wil scratch intensly at any itch and he does not appear to have any itchy problems as a result of this thing whatever it is.

You didn’t say what the bites look like or how big they are. You should never take antibiotics without a doctor prescribing them. If you removed ticks you really need to see a doctor. There’s a chance you didn’t remove them correctly or completely. This is nothing to mess around with. I realize you have no insurance but you really should have it checked ASAP. It could even be a rash caused by a plant or something. Go find out!

Posted by: | Comments (14)

Today when I was leading my favorite horse he bit me on my stomach. I didn’t bleed but theres a mark. When I was riding him i noticed a lot of flies around him but i dont know. He’s never bit before and has a habit of chewing bars and stuff. I’m afraid he’ll do it again! Does anyone know why he might have done this?? Have you been bit by a horse? Thank you to everyone who answers!!
