Question by Kari: Need A Good Flea Control For My Cat?
Even though I have an indoor cat, sometimes I will leave the screen door open for fresh air.
I’ve noticed my cat scratching a little more lately and it’s been over 4 months since her last treatment.
I would prefer to go to a retail or pet store than take her to a vet since I can’t afford it.
What’s a good store brand of “flea dip” I can use on her?

Best answer:

Answer by kat9375
Are you absolutely sure she has fleas? If she’s completely indoor it’s more unlikely she’d have them. Have you checked under her neck (especially under her collar) and in her belly for live fleas or flea dirt? If she’s clean, she doesnt need any extra treatment. You may want to use a little of the Frontline drops or I’ve also used Adams flea powder with success, but for fleas that just wont go away, we had to use the Frontline spray and also fog the house. That’s the ONLY way we were able to completely get rid of them. Killing the fleas on the cat doesnt do much good if there are fleas still in the house. UGH! I hate fleas in my house almost as much as I hate ants, lol. We havent seen a flea on our cats in 7+ years and havent given them a single flea treatment since then.

What do you think? Answer below!

Question by lilmissheiress: Do I need to remove the pillows in my sofa before setting off a flea bomb?
I am setting off a flea bomb later because we recently discovered fleas. We don’t think we have a bad case (as we don’t have any pets) and also I set up a “Flea trap” (light hung over a bowl of water and detergent) and only caught about 4 or 5 overnight….

My question is do I need to pull the pillows out of the chair before setting off the bomb so that it can get in the cracks, or should it reach the cracks thoroughly without removal?
I mean lay them separately so that the inside of the chair as well of the pillows can be sprayed

Best answer:

Answer by cdthomas313
i dunno.

i wouldn’t because there might be fleas/eggs in the pillows too.

Question by dj_k1tt3n: Does anyone know if a “flea trap” will actually work??
I’ve read on several websites that if you set a dish of soap under a light that fleas will be attracted to the heat, thinkin it is a host, and thus jump in the soap and die. Have any of you tried it, and if so did it work?

Best answer:

Answer by missfitranch
It has to be a shallow pan with water put a little dish liquid soap in it put a light above the tray of water and turn the light
on. It should be the only set of light in the area. Those little
buggers can’t wait to go swimming. Yes it dose work and depending on how many fleas you have it can be scary
