I’m looking to move to a different state. I currently live in Indiana, but I’m thinking maybe California, Florida, or New York. My problem is that I get freaked out by bugs. I don’t want to live somewhere with scorpians, snakes, big bugs (I can handle small cockroaches), and anything that is harmful to you. I’m severley allergic to bees (i’ve almost died from a bee sting) so if the place has a lot of bees, I might skip out.

My questions is what states has big bugs, scorpians, snakes, and any other dangerous bugs?

I’ve heard Texas and Alabama, but I’m not 100% sure on the other states.

Thanks!!!!!

A child I know loves animals.
Each type of creature great and small,
And in spare moments of her day
She tends to them and feeds them all.

The rabbit in his pristine hutch,
The guinea pigs and two young cats,
All insects and some spiders too,
She even has soft spot for rats.

Then tears were seen upon her cheeks
And stifled sobs from garden heard.
Her face quite stained from her sad plight,
She said she’d killed an injured bird.

The grief was plain in her brown eyes
Red rimmed from crying for a while,
No consolation would she take
Her mouth was turned there was no smile.

She saw him struggle to the ground,
His leg and both his wings were crushed.
She feared the cats would cause more hurt,
Her voice had now become quite hushed.

The bird had suffered in her eyes,
It was too much for her to bear.
She knew that it could not survive
So ended it’s poor life right there.

Then wrapped him up in cotton wool
And buried him beneath a tree.
Few flowers on the grave were placed
To mark for future where he’d be.
True, it hppened during the week. It’s been playing on my mind since then

coincided in time with the:
A) massive eruptions of deep-sea vents
B) melting that ended the “snowball Earth” period
C) switch to an oxidizing atmosphere
D) origin of multicellular organisms
E) origin of prokaryotes

I think it’s C but idk

An explanation for the evolution of insect wings suggest that wings began as lateral extensions of the body that were used as heat dissipaters for thermoregulation. When they had become sufficiently large, these extensions became useful for gliding through the air, and selection later refined them as flight-producing wings. If this hypothesis is correct, insect wings could best be described as
A) mutations
B) adaptations
C) exaptations
D) examples of natural selection’s predictive ability
E) isolating mechanisms

I think its B but I want to make sure

If one organ is an exaptation of another organ, then what must be true of these two organs?
A) they are undergoing convergent evolution
B) they have the same function
C) they are homologous organs
D) they are both vestigial organs
E) they are found together in the same hybrid species

C?

The existence of evolutionary trends, such as increasing body sizes among horse species, is evidence that
A) in particular enviornments, similar adaptations can be beneficial in more than one species
B) evolution generally progresses toward some predetermined goal
C) a larger volume-to-surface area ratio is beneficial to all mammals
D) evolution always tends toward increased complexity or increased size
E) an unseen guiding force is at work

I think it’s… A? not sure

help?
im 14 too lol
and ty! i just like being 100% sure

She lives in the basement and everyday she is knocking my door to use the phone, although she has a cell phone. How do I tell her in a very gentle way not to bug us so much.

There is a bed bug outbreak in our area. Unfortunatly we found some in our mattress. Do we need to buy a new mattress now, or can this be solved somehow?
