Should I keep a 2001 VW Beetle with 80,000 miles or a 2000 Volvo S40 with 150,000 miles?
Posted by: | CommentsI have the luck of deciding between two cars. They are both free to me, so cost is not an issue. I know that the Volvo is a better car to start with, but is it better with so many miles on it?
Both are in comparable physical condition.
The Volvo has an engine in it that only has 70,000 miles on it because it was in an accident in 2004.
The bug is a base model and has had very little work done to it. I had to put $3,000.00 into it earlier this year for a fuel problem and spark plugs. I took it to the dealer in Charlotte and I am pretty sure that they ripped me off.
I would prefer the Volvo because it is a luxury car and has heated seats, a sun roof, CD player, and cruise control. The bug does not have any of this stuff.
What car do you think I should keep?
