Question by The New “Dolemite”: Has anyone ever heard the song, “I Know An Old Lady That Swallowed a Fly?”?
Here’s the first few stanzas………….
I know an old lady that swallowed a fly
I don’t know why she swallowed the fly
I guess she’ll die.
I know an old lady that swallowed a spider that wiggled, and wiggled, and jiggled inside her.
She swallowed the spider to catch the fly, but I don’t know why she swallowed the fly
I guess she’ll die.
I know an old lady that swallowed a bird
How absurd to swallow a bird
She swallowed the bird to catch the spider that wiggled, and wiggled, and jiggled inside her
She swallowed the spider to catch the fly, but I don’t know why she swallowed the fly
I guess she’ll die.
I know an old lady that swallowed a cat
Now, fancy that—to swallow a cat
She swallowed the cat to catch the bird, she swallowed the bird to catch the spider that wiggled, and wiggled, and jiggled inside her.
She swallowed the spider to catch the fly
But I don’t know why she swallowed the fly
I guess she’ll die

Later, she swallows a dog, a goat, a hog, and a horse

Question by Zhalia_x: Anyone know any cool metaphors like “the girl who kicked the hornet’s nest” ?
well I’m searching for a title for my book, and I need inspiration.
The title of the book/movie “The girl who kicked the hornest’s nest” is kind of a metaphor as the book doesn’t have anything to do with a hornet’s nest (as far as I know) Does anyone know any other titles or metaphors like this? That I could use for inspiration?

thanks x

But not wild geese or ducks. There all dark. Yes even the breast.
It’s because Dark meat is from muscles being used which allows more oxygen to flow. That’s why turkey and chicken wings and breasts are white. There not used. and since geese and ducks fly they use their wings and breasts. That’s why there all dark…
I should clairify.. why is white white and dark dark…
