Question by : I Don’t Like People Asking Me Where I Work and Live, How Can I Keep Them Out of My Business?
I like to go out, bowling, events, etc, any public place and I am involved in a lot of things, volunteering, community events. No matter where I go people always seem to ask that right off the bat. What’s it’s any of these people’s business how I earn my money or where I live, that’s not even safe because I don’t know these people. I don’t care if you are Miss Perfect or Mother Theresa, if I don’t know you personally, you don’t need that much information about me.

Some of them ask and then never speak to me again, as if their only goal was to get in my business. Besides something like F-off*** What would you say in response to someone who was getting in your business and you were not interested in their question???

50% of the people I meet are nosy and 80% of those in that group go overboard, such as what I usually get is on where I live is: “I didn’t ask you the area, I asked you the town, by what store, what are the nearest cross streets to your house” some even want me to tell them how many houses down from the cross section. Usually it’s women who ask this, but in some cases men. I couldn’t make this up, I didn’t even know people were this nosy or this ridiculous

I am sure if I asked them what their religion was they would think that was odd, but yet they think they can get personal with other people. If you think it’s general conversation, I don’t, I think sports, national events and the weather, etc. are general conversation. Personal and general aren’t synonyms, so I don’t think personal questions make general conversation
Berny, you sound silly, stuck up? You are the one who is stuck up “WHO they are dealing with and WHAT they do for a living. First off, where you live and work is not WHO you are, it’s WHAT you are, and when elitist pigs like you learn to understand that people are more than just labels and neighborhoods, then maybe you can get beyond the name stage, you don’t deserve to know peoples names and they should steer clear from you.

Best answer:

Answer by .
tell them you dont want them knowing its that simple its not rude to say so its rude to ask though i feel where your coming from and if they ask about family or something say you dont know all the details. people need to stop prying.

Question by Spanky Gazpacho DW: Smoke Alarms: Can spider webs set them off?
I’ve installed the latest gadgets in my “smart house”… computer programmed power points, lighting and audio systems.. with integrated smoke, thermal alarms and security alarms.

Well last night… around midnight an alarm sounded… The way I have it programmed, all 130 light fittings come on and flash on then off at 1 second intervals … 2 x 120db sounders make a din inside, a flashing light and alarm bell sounds outside. I mean, it is real noisy.. enough to wake the dead, and my neighbours… so I leap out of bed naked, grab my cricket bat on the way through the house looking for smoke or intruders… get to the alarm panel and key in the code. Silence. darkness. No smoke and no intruder.

Back to bed. 20 minutes later, this process repeats. I climb back to bed. 5 seconds later… same again… I turn on the lights.. check the alarm memory…. it’s the smoke detectors.

And then I see it… a little spider and it’s spider web shimmering near a smoke detector. I squash him.
Thermal detectors detect heat… smoke detectors react to the movement of smoke like particulates in the air refracting off whatever light is available.

Best answer:

Answer by Beetle
Those detectors are way too sensitive.

To treat for termites we trench a ten-foot section in the ground where the active termite colony lives. Normally when you trench you don’t see movement from the actual terminates. Instead you just apply the materials and let it go about the business of eliminating termites below the surface. ABC uses Termidor as our termite pest control solution. Termidor is made from a revolutionary new nonrepellent or “undetectable” chemical technology. In numerous trials across the United States and around the world, Termidor has consistently proven itself to be 100% effective in eradicating termites in three months or less, a level of efficacy that no other termite control system of any type has ever achieved. Termidor is also proving to be equally effective in keeping termites from coming back. Ongoing field trials by the US Department of Agriculture show no signs of re-infestation at all study sites more than nine years after treatment with Termidor — results no other termite control product can match. Termidor is also able to be applied at very low rates and still be extremely effective. Recently one of our branch managers, Jim, was out doing a termite pest control spot-treatment on an Austin home. However, as Jim began applying the material worker termites began to come out of the ground. Since this is not a common occurrence Jim pulled out his phone and shot a quick video. The video might be a bit disorientating at first. When it begins the camera is looking down at the …

So I’ve known for quite some time that my boyfriend’s bed has bed bugs. He has done his best efforts to keep them at bay and they appear to have disappeared. However, his parents just found some in their bed. I sleep in the basement of their house where there are no bugs but fell asleep in his bed a week ago. All of last week I’ve had new bites pop up all over new ones every day.

Does my bed probably have bed bugs or are the bites from a week ago? I’ve checked for bugs but haven’t found any. I’ve slept in three different beds this weekend and find new bumps every day. It’s not possible that the bugs are in every bed I sleep in. Is it? What should I do? Help please.
