Question by ramdom ??’s asker: are russian dwarf ( or dwarf hamsters in general) are they more aggresive than normal hamsters?
ok.. i did the research about teddy bear hamsters..and Guine Pigs..soo looking up hamsters i also looked but dwarfs but didnt find anything that said they were agresive.. but i just got a russian dwarf hamster..and i think the pet shop owner made it afriad of people..picking it up using a tube becus they all didnt want it to bite any one and being soo small and soo young a new place lots of hands id imagine it might have bite a person or to…soo they “managor” started using a tube to pick up the hamster…

sooo not thinking anything of it i mean in my hand he was just nipping and i mean i expected that. we got him a little home i already have a teddy bear hamster..sooo i didnt really think anything much of the agresion and if it would be sense it is only a couple like 2 months old… thats when i got my teddy bear Boo and he sits on my head and shoulders eats from my hand and comes to me when i “tick” to him..runs in a ball lets me pick him up WHEN he is sleeping everything..and this little guy ” Ting” is his name xD is just soo mean…he wont let you pick him up at all..just to move him from the box to the cage.. i mean i want it to no im its friend soo i mean i tried to pick him up and haand feed him find something it likes…ya no..but still he tries to attack you when you just go to put food in his cage…?? anything he is like a little gard dog..i no its the first day and all..but should he be acting like this???

are they usually THIS agressive…1st day or not?? he even tried to attack Boo..all we were doing is holding them in too seperate hands compairng Boo…is this just cuz of them always picking him up in a tube?? or should i take him back i dont want to i want to give it sometime..and i no there too diff species but Boo was soo clam on the 1st day home..we bonded right away…and Ting..he is just i mean…skittzy??? is this normal or just from being a little miss treated by previouse owner * Pet supply plus*…ill look it up but people with more experiance would also help a bunch..i dont wanna take him back..ill give it about two to three months and see if any suggestions or comments ring true??? he is as cute as can be and i new he would be fisty? but i wanna no if its just his nature or if its they way they handled him that made his THIS i dont wanna say mean..but human shy and bitefull??

Best answer:

Answer by beautiful mustang
well i have 2 russain dwarf hamsters and 1 i picked up the day i got her and she is just the sweetest thing ever. but the other one is a bit(h from heLL. callienna [thee nice one] is pregnant and she still is super sweet but gats bee [the biatch] is like a little gaurd dog too. i try to put food in her food bowl and she bites em i try to get her out to clean the cage and she bites me. it never ends i tell ya. just handle the nice one. thats what i do. callienna is the only hamster i have ever had that i could handle without being scared. and ive had 29 hamsters [3 died when i was 9] some are sweethearts and some are evil! haha good luck.

Termites have a colonising flight from each nest generally once per year. A flight occurs when the conditions are correct locally. Usually in the late afternoon early evening on a very humid afternoon with little or no wind as they are weak flyers. The winged termites (alates) gush forth from the nest in very large numbers (up to 200000) searching for a mate and the right conditions to found a new colony. Termites require a moisture source a food source and a nice soil like medium to construct their new abode. The termites have many predators, birds, lizards, spiders, Me. Many of the termite alates will not get the opportunity to found a new colony however if from each flight 1 or 2 do manage to establish a new colony, then that is 1 or 2 new colonies that can attack our homes. You must be vigilant in ensuring that your home does not have the conducive conditions that allow a new colony to form. If you are in Sydney call Pestec for advice 1800 111 616 or check out www.pestec.com.au
