   @conformiste1 Not everything has to follow the standards of what we’ve come to expect in music. One thing that makes PTH stand out over other bands, other than the vocals and fast riff work, is the way the songs are structured. This was most evident on ‘Kezia’, where there was absolutely no verse-chorus-verse-repeat structure.

   But even that is beside the point. If you honestly like the sound of the band, than there should be no problem. Forget everyone else.

   @conformiste1 Your opinion is the only one that matters. I just hope they don’t use the same classical lick they used in every album so far the 18 16 18 15 18 13 18 16, gets really lame.

   @Flamungus I think you’re trying to say they’re too layered and mastered, I get what you’re saying, but I don’t think they’re trying too hard, but rather they have a lot of ideas they try to fit into small windows so it does carry a cramped feeling sometimes. But yeah sometimes there is too many layers.

    @conformiste1 I recognize this from myself. I also play guitar, and I think most of PTH is just fcked up. The vocalist is just AWESOME and all the players are highly talented, but sometimes it feels like they’re trying too hard, you know? Adding too much.

    I’m so sad because Protest The Hero is by far my favorite band… I love practically everything from them… Music isn’t my passion, PTH is. But my friend, who’s a great music connoisseur, plays guitar and is pretty good, says that PTH is some crappy pieces of music… He recognizes their talent but says that their music is totally fucked up with no sense and no addictive beat… Whatever, my point is that I’m the only one who loves them that much and I’m freaking mad because of this…

    Man, Protest is so damn unique that people I would expect to hate them love them. A lot of my friends who love metal really like them and some of them hate on them. Same goes for a lot of emo people I know who dont like them its like dude listen to kezia theres tones of emo to be had on that cd but… in a good way

    @DKonstantin17 You probably don’t like the vocals because you don’t appreciate actual singing as much as you may think you do. Rody Walker has one of the most impressive vocal ranges I have ever heard. He can scream, sing, and everything in between. Anyone with an ounce of musical know-how can listen to his voice and say “Wow, he is really good”.

    @borntobe44 Dunno who Bruce Dickinson is and I don’t really listen to Dio or any of the other bands he was in although his vocals were pretty cool. PTH pales in comparison to Dio’s vocals though imo.
